Steve started his career in the credit departments of NatWest in the early 1970s. In 1980 he moved into Investment Banking and was instrumental in creating some of the earliest cross-currency swaps. He has held senior positions at Chemical Bank, HSBC and, most recently, BGB where he was the London Director of market, credit and operational risk. | | | |
Steve has been lecturing on the subject of risk since the mid-1980s and has years of experience as both 'poacher' and 'gamekeeper'. He is well known in his field and well-respected by his peers and has contributed to numerous publications. Steve believes it is only through hands-on experience that one can hope to appreciate all aspects of risk.

Jeremy spent his formative years as a money and futures broker before moving into Investment Banking, capital markets and the derivatives business in the early 1980s. He has held senior positions in Bankers Trust and HSBC. Most recently, at WestLB, he was a board member of the group's merchant bank subsidiary and a member of the management team running the global derivatives and fixed income business. | | | |
He has been Head of Marketing and Sales and has first-hand knowledge of all aspects of Treasury products and their risk implications.
He has used his skills to provide training at all levels throughout the financial world from trainee to board member. His experience of the traded markets enables him to provide expert advice on policies and procedures as well as the measurement of returns.

Claire started work in the financial services within the Building Society world before moving into retail, wholesale and investment banking. As a qualified accountant she has extensive experience in both middle- and back-office issues and is experienced in project management.
Claire has worked on operational risk issues and is fully conversant with the implications of Basel II in this area.

Chris has extensive experience in the management of Risk, working at BGB for eight years and, before that, at HSBC for six years.
Previously Head of Market Risk for Bankgesellschaft London (BGB), with responsibility for Capital Markets, Structured Products and Credit Derivatives. His experience encompasses regulatory compliance, including Basel II and IAS 39, as well as system design and implementation; Credit VaR and Credit Risk for Credit Derivatives.
